Reliving the good old '70s

Laurianne Brown catches the boogie fever at Jamaica Trade and Invest's end-of-year party, under the theme 'Come and Relive the '70s and '80s.

Afro picks were retrieved and spandex tights were revived all in the name of good fun at the Jamaica Trade and Invest (JTI) end-of-year party, recently.

Special guests

With the theme 'Come and Relive the '70s and '80s, staff members and specially invited guests turned out appropriately dressed to welcome back the two decades. Afros were piled high atop heads, spandex tights, wedge heels, gloves and socks in popping neon colours, even the dashiki made a comeback.

The two eras partied the night away at the company's office on Trafalgar Road, St Andrew.

Guests included Robert Gregory, president of the JTI, Berletta Forrester, export promotion manager JTI, Francis Kennedy chairman of Kingston City Centre Improvement Company, Julian Templer and his wife Sancia, Deryck Rose, Nardia McKenzie, Tamarie Warner, Natalie Grandison, Janine Josephs, manager knowledge services department JTI and her husband Dr John Josephs, Shushanna Truman, Hernal Hamilton, managing director Jamaica Export Trading Company, Raymond Miles Jr, chairman JTI, Robert Kerr, Marlene Porter and Laurianne Brown.
