Clean up Spanish Town
The Editor, Sir:

Please bring to the attention of the mayor of Spanish Town, the dirty condition of the place. I have not seen any other parish capital as dirty as this one. The roads are swept, but as there are no units for garbage disposal, the place is littered.

There are huge piles of garbage, when the street sweepers have finished their work and rubbish is left piled on the ground. A good example is nearby the Spanish Town Shopping Centre, which, on a Sunday morning, is a most dreadful sight to see.

I am sure that even some of the citizens would use garbage bins - if they are provided.

I am, etc.,

Y. SMITH
