In sickness

1 "In sickness and in health", the words from the famous vow, have become so relevant for that high-profile couple. They were separated and were on the brink of getting a divorce when he became ill and love just drew them back together in a magnificent way. But the woman scorned is not taking it lightly. She is demanding to be in attendance at all the lavish parties this season and the gentleman has been reluctant. So, will he ride alone this Christmas?

Scratch those travel plans

2 The sportsman is said to be working his way to wife number three. Seems the blissful days spent with wife number two came to a crashing end recently when he refused to take her on one of his overseas jaunts. A brawl resulted in travel documents being destroyed and some harsh words being exchanged. Neighbours came to understand that even a lady can use choice Jamaican words, if sufficiently provoked.

Mean employer

3 Some employers are being encouraged to treat their employees with greater respect, especially as this is the season of good cheer. In one case, employees came together and decorated the office. The employees reasoned that they would save management a few thousand dollars by doing the job themselves, instead of paying for the usual outside help. But management, it appears, did not appreciate the effort. No thanks, no bonus.

Beating the cheaters

4 Hats off to the CG for his enthusiastic approach to his job as corruption czar. Some are wondering when he is going to crack the whip against the cheating heads of NGOs, as some of them have been using their office to get duty-free concessions, including motor vehicles. This practice needs to be checked.
