Though the finals of the Caribbean Model Search (CMS) Reality TV Series was filmed on Monday at the Pulse complex in New Kingston, everyone will have to wait until later today to know who the winner is.

Initially, the guests were asked to sign a talent release form which stipulates that they should not disclose the winner. However, during the filming the judges changed the rules. So, instead of announcing a winner, three winners were chosen: Racquel Smith, Jodi Ann Richards and Crystal Patterson.

As the name of each girl was disclosed, they all received the news in a dramatic fashion: covering faces, waving and wiping imaginary tears believably. The judges suggested that they do acting as well.

Before the announcement, the six girls in the finals competed in the runway challenge, as they aimed to impress the judges with their graceful strides. Racquel Smith won this category. She was winning her first challenge and outshone the other contestants - Kaniggia Buckle, Renae Blackwell, Tasha-Kaye Myers, Patterson and Richards.

Elegant formal pieces

During the challenge, they modelled in metallic and brightly coloured swimwear from Mushroom. Spunky casual wear was provided by Yaahdie Conscious and Go West. Keneena Linton's elegant formal pieces ended the night.

In the breaks the guests had a few laughs, especially with the comments made by one of the judges, Chester Francis-Jackson. Perhaps the funniest moment was when Pulse CEO Kingsley Cooper, who was sitting beside fellow judge Romae Gordon, tried to make his final comments but loud vehicles on the road nearby repeatedly interrupted him.

The CMS reality TV series winner will be disclosed tonight at 9:00 on CVM TV. The winner will compete in the Caribbean leg of the competition.
