Flynn okay with verdict
DUNEDIN, New Zealand

(CMC):

Black Caps batsman Daniel Flynn, the first batsman to be given out in New Zealand under the new umpire review system, has taken his disappointment in stride.

"I thought I had got outside the line to start with when the appeal was made. Then when (the third umpire) took some time to make up his mind, I thought it wasn't looking good," said Flynn who missed out on a maiden Test century when he fell for 95. "I haven't got any complaints, though. You can't argue with technology when it shows it clear cut."

Punishing wait

Flynn said the wait for the decision had been punishing and revealed that the Windies fielders had actually enquired if he was okay, as third umpire Rudi Koertzen examined the video replays.

"I initially thought I was okay. The West Indies boys were asking me how I was feeling," the 23-year-old said. "I was pretty calm to start with but once it started dragging out a bit longer, the nerves started creeping in."
