Mad Circle supports Port Royal football

Promoted Major League team Port Royal received a well-needed financial boost from Mad Circle Entertainment last weekend.

Mad Circle Entertainment said its offering, which was made in the community, would take care of purchasing jerseys for the team.

Mad Circle Entertainment, the host of the popular party series 'Osmosis' which has been held in Port Royal at Fort Charles twice yearly for the past two years, could not reveal the full value of the sponsorship, but said it would cover whatever the jerseys cost.

Philip Palmer of Mad Circle said this was a way to show the organisation's appreciation to the community.

"We don't want Port Royal to think that we just come, have our party, then leave," said Palmer.

"So we have thrown our support behind the football team as one way to give back to the community," he said.

The team's coach, Dane Bird, received the donation on behalf of Port Royal FC.

The next Osmosis will be held on Friday at the Old Navy Hospital, Port Royal, under the theme 'City on the Bay'.
