THE VICTORIOUS G.C. Foster College basketball team was feted at the institution on Wednesday evening.

Coached by Alf Remikie, national co-ordinator, G.C. Foster College, who defeated University of Technology (UTech) 74-72 in last Saturday's final, had their treat sponsored by GlaxoSmithKline, distributors of Lucozade, Young Supermarket and Crafts Food.

Yvonne Kong, principal of G. C. Foster College, told the players, who are studying in the area of physical education, that they must not only sell the school's basketball programme.

"You must tell them (your students) it's an institution that offers degrees for teaching," she said while pointing to the positives from teaching.

Remikie, who is also a lecturer at the sports college, thanked Kong and her administrative staff for the event.

"We appreciate it and I hope it's a start," Remikie said while adding it was a way to say thanks to the students who represented the college with distinction.
