Congratulations to Dr Jephthah Ford on his very impressive Letter of the Day in The Gleaner of December 10, captioned 'Reality of the Gravel Heights Exodus, in which he told it like it is and called a spade a spade!
I am very pleased with how he summed up the harsh realities we face with criminals taking over Jamaica inch by inch, community by community and parish by parish - the culmination of the political practice and culture of the People's National Party and the Jamaica Labour Party.
I also wish to endorse his recognition and demand for the rights of law-abiding citizens to bear arms in order to protect self, family and property and in the process take Jamaica back from the criminal gunmen and politicians. I urge more Jamaicans to join the National Gun Rights' Association and help to take back Jamaica.
Dr Ford's frank comments about the prime minister and opposition leader, who are beneficiaries of the criminal/political 'house cleaning' are bold and worthy of commendations and something which more people need to recognise, acknowledge and condemn until there is a correction of these wrongs against humanity.
I again call for a Truth and Reconciliation Commission to deal with political cleansing and creation of the 'garrison' political culture which has been eating away and destroying our beautiful country.
Jephthah, you have shown up the hypocrisy of our two main party leaders and their cronies in and outside of parliament.
Well done Dr Ford! Keep on saying it loud and clear!
I am, etc.,
PETER TOWNSEND
