In this week's Click, check out these fun sites that will help you make a fashion statement and spend your money wisely.

MYSTYLE.COM

Background

Mystyle.com is a lifestyle website that offers fashion content, celebrity news and lifestyle tips. Besides the usual fashion trend reports and celebrity articles, the site seems to take the formula of popular entertainment shows and channels into cyberspace.

It offers tips on organising your personal space, fashion quizzes that are used to match a certain celebrity or fashion-forward personality to a user. Though these features give the site its fun and interactive appeal, there are still features that set the website apart.

Clothing items worn by celebrities are also found on the site. There is a steal-or-splurge section, which displays the actual product and its price, and similar-looking products at cheaper. Another interesting section called Style gives users answers to style questions.

Why it started: DIY (do-it-yourself) fashion has become a popular trend among teens and young adults. This site helps persons who lack the creative ability to find products on the market to give them that signature, possibly celebrity look, without the five-figure bill.

Who is it for: This site is mainly for females, as most of the content has to do with accessorising and female designer clothing. Also, fashion journalists who analyse trends might revel in mystyle.com.

Who it's not for: Persons who have problems making style decisions, as well as those who don't understand the dynamics of the fashion world, might find this site to be both unhelpful, and confusing.

JAM.CANOE.CA

Background: Jam.canoe.ca is a source of critical review on virtually everything in the entertainment world. Reviews for books, movies and albums are popular fare.

The site goes a step further to incorporate reviews for television shows and Broadway drama. It offers general information such as box-office reports, celebrity info and a constantly updated pop encyclopaedia.

It also has a very interesting review style. Along with the usual five-star ratings, story overviews and age ratings, jam.canoe.ca goes a step further by incorporating inside information like the manufacturing process, background history and even track-by-track analysis for album reviews.

Why it started: The Web is jammed with information but sourcing good advice and saving money can be hard. Jam.canoe helps persons not only to gain useful advice, but to learn something while doing it.

Who it's for: Persons who spend a lot of time exploring various types of media entertainment should pay this site a visit.

Who it's not for: Personal critics who would rather give these titles their own rating might not need this site.
