THE EDITOR, Sir:

In this Advent season, over 2,000 years after Christ was born in a manger, according to biblical writings because "there was no room in the inn", some of our Jamaican pregnant women were not refused entry to the Victoria Jubilee Hospital maternity wards, but were forced to share some of the single-patient beds.

I hope that with better facilities than that which obtained in the days leading up to the birth of Christ, we will not subject our pregnant women to anything more sub-humane than that which was reported recently in your newspaper, ever again.
