Henry wants pre-JLP gov't probe at JUTC
Transport and Works Minister Mike Henry is calling for the Office of the Contractor General (OCG) to investigate Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC) procurements prior to the Jamaica Labour Party's takeover of government.

A release from the ministry stated yesterday that Henry welcomed the announcement that the contractor general's office would be reopening its probe into procurement procedures at the JUTC, following voluntary declarations from the bus company's board in its response to the the OCG's initial report on the matter.

"Henry is likewise calling upon the OCG to broaden the re-examination of the investigation to include procurement and contract management procedures at a number of associated companies to the JUTC, and to examine contract arrangements prior to the present administration's stewardship, including with some specific entities which did business with the JUTC," the release read.
