Who is running the country?
The Editor, Sir:

Do we have a government in Jamaica? To say it was a disgrace is putting it mildly when gunmen can evict law-abiding citizens. Are not the policemen supposed to protect the citizens from such scumbugs. Who is running the country? Every member of the Government (whether they are of the ruling party or not, I do not care) should hang their heads in shame.

Duties of the government

One of the duties of the Government is to see that law and order is maintained and that citizens abide by the laws of the country. Instead, it seems as if we now have gunmen running the country. The MP from that area should have some explaining to do. If people cannot live in their own houses, what will be next? I hope the next election the people will remember.

MPs go to Parliament when they please and bellow at each other to see which one can out-talk the other and nothing of substance is being done. People have to live in fear. Children are being murdered and more time is spent taking care of the criminals.

I am, etc.,
