Salvation Army's red-and-white awards

UNDER A red-and-white colour scheme, the Salvation Army Eastern Jamaica Division Advisory Board hosted its Christmas luncheon, yesterday.

Several members of the board were given special awards at the event that was held at The Jamaica Pegasus hotel in New Kingston.

Three members of the board were inducted into the Friends of The Army circle of the charitable organisation. The members were Pokar Chandiram, Robert McMillan and Carl Barnett.

Certificate of recognition were presented to Monica Ladd and Cleto Parkinson. While the prestigious William Booth award was given to Chandiram and the Others Award presented to Neville 'Teddy' McCook.

The non-profit organisation is currently running its Christmas Kettle drive, where citizens are urged to drop funds in the instruments that are posted at shopping arcades at major towns islandwide.
