Ten vie for Pulse's CMS Reality title

CMS Reality Contestant Racquel Smith exudes fierceness during the 'superwoman challenge' on Pulse's Caribbean Model Search. - Contributed

As lights and decorations go up across the country in anticipation of the Christmas season, a gift came early for the remaining 10 women on Pulse's Caribbean Model Search (CMS) last week. The panel - Pulse CEO Kingsley Cooper, Pulse General Manager Romae Gordon and social scribe Chester Francis Jackson - announced during the elimination ceremony that everyone would be advancing to the next round.

Hearty congratulations were extended by the panel, praising the girls for their hard work as well as advising that the journey would only get harder hereafter.

After the proceedings, the women were escorted from the set at Villa Ronai to the Hilton Kingston hotel by transportation sponsor Toyota Jamaica, where they met with certified yoga instructor Subhadra from Yoga Angels.

In a bid to teach them new poses and help them relax their bodies and minds, Subhadra led the women in what was, for most, their first yoga lesson. The CMS girls did their best to mimic Subhadra's nimble poses, and while flexibility and dexterity came naturally to some, others simply just fell flat.

After the invigorating lesson, CMS host Celene Tyson revealed the day's fashion forward exercise - the 'superwoman challenge'. Incorporating their new-found yoga techniques, the girls were charged with demonstrating elements of strength, power and courage through photos.

Top 10

The fashion force of stylist Jeanette Linton and ace make-up artiste Paul March helped inspire the top 10 'super' models: Venice Barnes, Krystina Black, Renae Blackwell, Kannigia Buckle, Shawnette Evering, Karneila Livingston, Tasha Kaye Myers, Crystal Patterson, Jodi Ann Richards and Racquel Smith by suiting them in fabulous costumes paired with dramatic make-up.

This week, the pictures have been reviewed and the judges have voted. Two girls will be leaving the set. Viewers can tune in to CVM on Fridays and Tuesdays to catch up on the action. The series will also be aired on Hype TV.

The winner of the CMS reality series will receive a guaranteed modeling contract with Pulse valued at over J$200,000, along with several other gifts and prizes. The Caribbean Model Search is presented by Pulse, in association with Samurai Investments, Eye Q Optical, CVM TV, the Hilton Kingston hotel, HYPE TV, Splashjamaica.com, Jamrock magazine, Ocean Style, SHE Caribbean, ZIP FM and The Gleaner .
