JET committedto BH domino

Calman Barrett, CEO of Jamaica Electrical Technologies Limited (JET), sponsors of the Business House domino competition, has pledged his company's continued support in 2009.

Speaking on Friday at the offices of JET on Lyndhurst Road in St Andrew, Barrett described this year's competition as a success, stating that the objectives laid down by him were met.

These include the fostering of friendly relationships with the management and workers of participating companies in the Corporate Area, such as The Gleaner, Seprod, Tank-Weld, Port Authority, JPS, Carib Cement, NCB, Wray & Nephew, Sagicor, BoJ, Airports Authority, Berger and JET, to name a new.

"Of course, we would like to see more teams playing in both divisions. I think that, in conjunction with the organisers, the National Association of Domino Bodies, who have done a good job, we could see teams like CVM, Air Jamaica and RJR Communications Group coming back next year. My other objective is to expand the competition beyond the Corporate Area to include business houses from neighbouring parishes, like St Catherine, by 2010," said Barrett.
