CBS Television's Judge Joe Brown is on a visit to the island and will be the special guest tomorrow at the fund-raising banquet and launch of the development fund for the Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts. The event takes place at the Hilton Kingston hotel. Last week, Judge Brown paid courtesy calls on the governor general and prime minister.

He is the father of two sons and is married to the very accomplished Deborah Herron, business woman/figure skater/ski instructor/dancer. He also skis, dives and rides his horses in his free time, so we asked the judge:

What book are you reading now?

JB: I am actually reading four: Alexis de Tocqueville's Democracy in America, The Millennium Falcon by John Whitman, The Lawrence Investgations (Military publication) and Legacy of Ashes: The History of the CIA by Tim Weiner.

What music/CD are you listening to now?

JB: I am listening to music by Shaggy and Bob Marley right now, I love reggae music.

Where was the last interesting place you visited?

JB: I don't travel overseas much, but the last place I went to was right here in Jamaica, last year, I like the north coast.
