Sonia Bailey Williams had to be escorted from the courtroom and Supreme Court Judge Marva McIntosh said it was unfortunate that she was in court at that time.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Robert White said that, on February 8, 2005, Perry gave a cautioned statement in which he said voices told him to kill.

In the statement, which was read to the jury, Perry said some minutes after midnight on January 27, 2005, he went to the home of Sonia Bailey Williams, his cousin, and entered the house through a window.

He said the children were sleeping and he began to stab them.

Perry said one of them woke up and begged him not to kill her, but he continued stabbing them.

After stabbing the children, he said he went back to his house and went to bed.

Perry said that when he heard the children's mother raise an alarm, he went back to the premises and began to cry. During a question-and-answer exercise carried out by Whyte on February 8, 2005, Perry disclosed where the knife he used to stab the children was buried.

The police, who were accompanied by Perry's lawyer Christopher Hibbert, took Perry to Killancholly and he showed them the spot where the knife was buried. The knife was dug up by Corporal Courtney Wilson and subsequently taken to the government Forensic Laboratory.

The trial will continue on Monday in the Home Circuit Court.
