Please allow me space, I would like to reflect on the leadership of Mr Golding and the JLP.

I supported Mr Golding to be prime minister of Jamaica, upon the premise of change. Change in the man and change in the modus operandi of party and government. When I reflect, especially for those who were born after Mr Golding's political-wilderness experience, I had hoped for change in the man and the JLP.

The great prophet Moses went into the wilderness and encountered the great 'I Am', God Almighty, and led the Israelites out of Egypt out of physical bondage/slavery. The Israelites spent 40 years in the wilderness because they did not want change. Many died and did not see the Promised Land. Those who died in the wilderness were too acculturated in Egyptian ways, no capacity to change to righteousness. A new generation of people went to the Promised Land.

Jesus went into the wilderness. You know what happened when Jesus came from the wilderness? Today, Jesus is worshipped and revered as the son of God, the rest is history.

Now, did Mr Golding's wilderness experience change Prime Minister Golding? The public will answer this question on election day. Michael Manley went into the wilderness with bush jacket and democratic socialism and came out with European-tailored suits and capitalism.

Is there hope for Jamaica? Will the prophecy of Rt Hon Marcus Garvey be fulfilled on Jamaica? Jamaica, pray for leadership.
