Water woes in Gordon Town
The Editor, Sir:

Since tropical Storm Gustav, the people of Gordon Town have only had water supply for a total of two and a half weeks, yet we still receive National Water Commission (NWC) bills. There has been no communication from anyone at the NWC to inform us what is happening, or when we will get a daily supply of this very precious commodity. It would be common courtesy to include with the water bill, an explanation of why we are being penalised.

The National Works Agency repaired a section of the road that had collapsed. The work crew left sand, stones and rubble on the side of the road, resulting in a one-way traffic flow. Is it too much to ask that this area be cleared so that normal traffic operations may resume?

I await with anticipation, though not much hope, for a response.

I am, etc.,
